Helping Young People
Grow Through What
They Go Through.
Programs that help young people build self-awareness, emotional regulation, resilience, communication skills, and healthier ways of responding to challenges.
All of The Camel Project's trainings and programs are grounded in awareness around trauma-informed practices, belonging and de-escalation skills.

Every Young Person Has the Potential to Grow.
A pearl represents growth, resilience, and transformation—key elements in fostering confident and motivated youth.
A pearl forms through adaptation and perseverance, much like young people develop confidence and self-motivation when given the right environment and support.
This aligns with trauma-informed practices, cognitive behavioral therapy, and social-emotional learning, all of which help students navigate challenges, build resilience, and develop a strong sense of self-worth.
By incorporating Pearl into existing school programming, the message reinforces that every student can grow into something substantial and valuable, regardless of past experiences or challenges.
Growth Needs the Right Environment.
Our youth programs create space for young people to pause, understand themselves, and practice healthier responses.
Safety
Creating an environment where young people can participate without fear of judgment or shame.
Awareness
Helping students recognize emotions, behaviors, triggers, and the choices available to them.
Connection
Building communication, empathy, trust, and healthier relationships with peers and adults.
Growth
Developing resilience, accountability, problem-solving, and confidence over time.
Different Needs. One Goal: Helping Youth Thrive.
Our programs meet young people where they are and provide opportunities to develop healthier ways of responding to challenges.

Lunch Intervention / Interruption Program
A supportive pause before behavior becomes a bigger problem.
LIP is a trauma-informed, restorative program designed to interrupt disruptive behaviors during lunch while helping students understand what happened and what they can do differently.
Students move into a quiet, supportive environment for discussion and activities before returning to class. Most students are ready to learn when they return.
Students Practice
- Recognizing escalating behaviors
- Using self-regulation strategies
- Reflecting on choices and consequences
- Communicating more effectively
- Setting goals for behavioral and academic success
The PIVOT Program
Pause. Reflect. Choose a different direction.
Prevention & Intervention for At-Risk Youth was created for nonviolent juvenile offenders and youth identified as at-risk, with a clear mission: to keep them out of prison—and the morgue.
PIVOT provides a safe, calm, and nonjudgmental environment where youth can better understand their thoughts, actions, and emotions.
Using Social-Emotional Learning principles, participants explore healthy ways to respond to stress and challenging situations while developing self-regulation, reflection, curiosity, and personal accountability.
Participants Develop the Ability to
- Identify physiological signs of stress, anger, and shutdown
- Interrupt impulsive or reactive behaviors
- Recognize the impact of personal choices
- Increase accountability through reflection
- Practice goal-setting and problem-solving

Youth Programs Work Best When Adults Are Prepared Too.
Creating lasting change requires more than working directly with students. The adults surrounding young people need the tools and language to recognize, interrupt, and prevent harmful behaviors.
Our Certified Prevention Specialist training helps schools create that sustainable layer of support.
